For a decade and a half, Ekenem has delivered home-grown stories and content formats crafted with global appeal.
Ekenem Ugede is a Writer, Director, and Content Producer with more than a decade and a half of experience conceptualising, structuring, and deploying media content across various platforms.
Her work spans scripted drama, comedy, format television, and radio. Ekenem has led content strategy on behavioural change projects at an executive level. She has created, scripted, and supervised content for various productions, including M-Net original productions and movies on Netflix and Amazon Prime. She has also given her time to facilitating storytelling workshops across Nigeria.
Driven by her faith and an instinct to find the precise emotional truth behind each story, her collaborative process captures the storyteller’s vision and translates it into something that resonates beyond the screen. Whether she’s building an episode arc, structuring a content format, leading a team of creatives, or directing cast on set, she believes that true creativity does two things: it unlocks stories and establishes patterns.
For producers, networks, and studios seeking a collaborator with creative vision and production fluency — and a deep understanding of the African market — Ekenem brings a rare combination of instinct, craft, and institutional experience.

True creativity does two things — it unlocks stories and establishes patterns.
